December is all about Christmas and what do you have it but both Christmas Jazz and Christmas Blend were the top sellers. For the future, we suggest the Christmas Eve Blend because with richer food, most prefer a stronger coffee (French Roast).

Good old Mexican Altura FT&O was the hero. Did you know that Old Rock is one of the biggest retailer of Mexican FT&O coffee in all of Canada? Northern Ontario loves Mexican coffee. Old Rock also used mexican coffee in some of its famous blends.

The Vienna coffees are outselling the French when it gets to unique coffee type sales, but in general, French roast coffees are more in demand. Look at the Guatemalan, rated #1 is the Vienna and 10th for the French. Isn't nice to have versatility...

Back in the groove in September, the Honduran coffee is selling like mad. Northern Ontario is a Honduran fan, and I don't blame you! And the latte's are flying out the door; 98% of espressos sold is the Los Gatos.
Increasing gas prices continue to show a toll on Old Rock customers. Although Old Rockers continue to purchase their coffee, the purchasing pattern shows favoritism for less expensive coffees. Great choices!

What a beautiful summer! Summer time means outdoor coffee. With no surprises, the Italian Roast blends came out with force. Many customers, including ourselves, prefer the pungent and bold taste of a pristine (immaculate) coffee when in the outdoors. Don't feed the coffee to the bears!
This month, Honduran is the resounding success, partially due that it is so delicious and partially because we ran out for a few weeks. I suspect that some stocked up! Another gem cam out a winner: The Water Street Bakery blend. We certainly agree that it is a keeper!

Our Sumatra Gayo Mountain Fair Trade and Organic French Roast was the top seller this April. Somewhat of a surprise because it was 25% more than the 2nd top seller. It is in fact a great coffee!
The new kid in town, Red Rooster Restaurant on Regent St., made its debut in January. This month, it is the most sold coffee. The drive-thru must come handy, and the chicken too ...
Signs of the recession are still noticeable - customers are purchasing the best valued coffees such as the Breakfast Blend.
I always wondered if January is when you select different coffees or is it getting back to the grind with your favorites? Well I'm not gonna wait here to figure it out, just that the list has some cool new top sellers like that Guatemalan and that super smooth island coffee of the Dominicans!
Every year, Christmas blends keep selling more and more. This year was no different, where our famous Christmas Jazz outsold the #2 coffee by almost 2x, even though we ran out a few days prior to Noël. For next year, we will not run out...
October was marked with special orders, so the numbers a skewed a bit. But interestingly, the Costa Rican beat out all coffees. Not surprised.
October seemed to cater to South American coffees, where Colombians lead the way. Just a note on Colombian coffee - our Colombian Excelsos La Equidad is so not like a typical Colombian. If you did not have it yet, I strongly recommend at lead an 8 oz bag.
Other than the usuals, the Guatemalan made a run for it. The French placed 6th and the Vienna place 14th (not shown).
Honduran (Vienna) and Nicaraguan (French), all certified fair trade and organic, seem to be the trend. Another trend is the Tanzanian Peaberry French Roast is consistently a top seller. The North has taste and class.
July was a strong month for the espressos. We're not surprised because when espressos don't make the top 10, they are typically no 11 or 12. Did you know that Old Rock has 6 wonderful espressos!
Month of June is always marked with larger orders for those leaving on vacation. Don't leave home without it! (your favourite coffee of course)
Old Rock customers are probably defined as Honduran lovers, for any roast. Our Honduran Marcalas coffee was the most sold in either roast.
April is marked by the darker roasts.
